CREATIVE DIRECTION
CLARKS ORIGINALS
FW2016
For this collection, I pursued a narrative based on the concept of shoes that age well and that form part of the journey through life: shoes well-lived. As you grow physically and mentally, you want to have dependencies that grow with you.
I liked this idea of playing into the stages of early adulthood and the journey through college, career and family. I explored how each stage can have sub narratives; sketch, sew and step.
CONVERSE CONS
FW2014
Setting up this seasonal direction, I wanted to see how the design could work into the notion of transformation and how elements can balance or play off each other.
I explored the layering of components and branding elements, looking at how print and material can play off each other and add dimension.
VANS OTW COLLECTION
SAMPLE DIRECTION
Following discussions with a close friend at Vans, I developed a concept based around the intersection of shoes and sneakers – a merging of both formal and street styling.
Utilising classic shoe elements and working them into the DNA and culture of Vans, I applied a different look and feel to the brand’s well-known silhouettes.
ADIDAS ORIGINALS
SS2019
Following an initial briefing from the adidas Creative Direction team, the adidas Originals sub-brand acts as an independent unit, carving out its own take on the direction. In my role as Design Director, I would work with my team to set a visual style and then
explore what that means for the basketball lifestyle category. This concept would then be activated across product design, colour application and material usage. Displayed here is an example of a season’s sub-narrative.
